Who We Are

The McDan Foundation

The McDan Foundation is a humanitarian and philanthropic organization created to support vulnerable communities in Ghana and across Africa. Its activities focus on education, health, sports development, and youth entrepreneurship.

The foundation aims to improve lives, restore hope, and empower people, especially those who are disadvantaged in society. It encourages communities to become agents of change and to contribute positively to national development.

The foundation believes that individuals who succeed in life have a responsibility to help others and improve society. This philosophy drives every initiative undertaken by the McDan Foundation.

Our Founder

Dr. Daniel McKorley

Founder & Executive Chairman

McDan Group & Foundation

Dr. Daniel McKorley is the Founder and Executive Chairman of the McDan Group and the McDan Foundation. He is a Ghanaian business leader, entrepreneur, and philanthropist born and raised in Labadi, Accra, Ghana.

He founded the McDan Group, a conglomerate operating in shipping, logistics, aviation, construction, oil and gas, security, and real estate. He is also a motivational speaker on leadership, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship.

Dr. McKorley has invested over $4 million in charitable work, including construction of classroom blocks, building sports astro turfs, scholarships, medical support, youth entrepreneurship programs, and skills training for street children.
