The Education program of the McDan Foundation focuses on supporting students, schools, and communities to improve access to quality education, especially for people in deprived areas.
The foundation believes that human resources are the greatest capital of every society, and education is one of the most important tools for national development. Technical, vocational, and professional education all play a crucial role in building a strong society.
Main Education Initiatives
Building Classroom Blocks
The foundation constructs classroom blocks in needy communities where students may lack proper learning environments. Some communities previously had children learning under trees or in poor facilities.
Paying School Fees
The foundation supports brilliant but financially challenged students by paying their school fees. This helps talented students continue their education even when their families cannot afford it.
Providing Educational Materials
Educational materials are distributed to schools, including exercise books, textbooks, and basic learning materials. In some communities, thousands of exercise books have been donated to pupils.
Supporting Teachers
The foundation recognizes the important role teachers play in education. As part of its initiatives, it supports teachers and schools to improve the learning environment for students.
Youth Mentorship & Training
The McDan Foundation provides mentorship and training programs for young people, helping them develop skills, confidence, and career direction for a brighter future.
Tertiary Scholarships
The foundation runs scholarship programs supporting students especially from underprivileged Zongo communities through tertiary education, creating future leaders and professionals.
