Business magnate and philanthropist Daniel McKorley was honored with the title "Most Influential Entrepreneur of All Time" at the 15th Anniversary and Awards Ceremony of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG).

The event took place on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra — an evening that celebrated decades of entrepreneurial excellence across Ghana.

Why He Received the Award

The award recognizes decades of entrepreneurial leadership, innovation, job creation, and contributions to national development. Daniel McKorley is the Founder and Executive Chairman of the McDan Group of Companies, a Ghanaian conglomerate with operations spanning:

  • Aviation
  • Construction
  • Mining and salt production
  • Agribusiness
  • Real estate

Message from Daniel McKorley

During his acceptance speech, McKorley expressed heartfelt gratitude to the founder of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, Sam Ato Gaisie, for supporting and promoting entrepreneurship in Ghana.

McKorley spoke candidly about his journey and the challenges entrepreneurs face. He shared that he started life with very little but had a strong dream and an unwavering belief in Ghana's potential.
